Service

GEO optimization service and SEO: be found on Google and in ChatGPT, Perplexity & co.

UpToVision (UP2VISION), a studio in Weiden, Germany, offers SEO together with a GEO optimization service: your website becomes technically clean, fast and well set up for every language and region you serve, so Google understands it and ranks it correctly. At the same time we make sure AI search tools such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews find clear, verifiable facts about your company.

We do not give ranking guarantees – nobody honest can. What we offer is careful work on the foundations that search engines and AI systems actually evaluate.

SEO and GEO – the difference

SEO (search engine optimization) makes sure your pages appear in classic Google results and on Google Maps. GEO (generative engine optimization) aims to get AI systems to mention your company in their answers and link to you.

The foundations are largely the same: clear content, clean technology, consistent company details everywhere online. If SEO is done properly, a good part of GEO is already done. Both start with a solid site, which is why this service ties in closely with our website design.

What we work on

  • Technical SEO

Indexing, sitemap, clean URLs, redirects and structured data, so search engines understand every page.

  • Languages and countries

German and English versions with correct hreflang tags, so Austrian, Swiss, Dutch or international visitors land on the right page instead of a duplicate.

  • Local SEO and Google Business Profile

Name, address and phone number identical everywhere, the right category, current photos and opening hours. For local searches the profile is often as important as the website.

  • Load time

Fast pages are better for visitors and for Google. Pre-rendered sites have a clear advantage here, and the website subscription keeps them that way.

  • Content that answers questions

Pages that answer real customer questions directly are more likely to be quoted by Google and by AI search.

What AI search needs – and what is a myth

A clear answer at the top of the pageyesAI systems like to pick up short, unambiguous statements.

Structured data (Schema.org)helps understandingIt describes in machine-readable form who you are – but it does not guarantee mentions.

Honest: what SEO can and cannot do

Nobody can promise you the top spot on Google. Anyone who guarantees it has either picked a term nobody searches for or is not telling the truth.

SEO takes time. Google's own guide on hiring an SEO says it often takes four months to a year before improvements are implemented and start to show. AI answers also vary from one query to the next. Good visuals help indirectly too – a strong 3D website or video gets shared and linked more often than a plain page.

How we approach it

  1. Intro call and audit

Where do you stand on Google, in your business profile and in AI answers? What do you want to be found for, and in which countries?

  2. Fix the foundations

Technology, load time, company details and profile – this is where the quickest gains are.

  3. Build out content

Dedicated pages for services and for the questions your customers really ask, in each language you need.

  4. Monitor and adjust

Keep an eye on rankings, search queries and AI answers, and improve where it counts.

Frequently asked questions

How fast will I see results from SEO?

Fixing technical errors often works faster; new rankings usually take months. Google itself names a range of four months to a year. If someone promises quick jumps, ask them how.

Can you guarantee a first-page ranking?

No, and nobody serious can. Google decides the order, and it changes constantly. What we can do is make the foundations good enough that your chances rise noticeably.

Do I need an llms.txt file?

Not for Google: according to Google's own documentation, no special files are needed for the AI features in Search. Whether other AI providers use the file is barely documented so far. It does no harm, but it does not replace good content.

Will my German website rank in Austria, Switzerland or the Netherlands?

It can, but only if search engines know which page is meant for which language and region. Separate language versions linked with hreflang, plus content that addresses those markets, give you a much better chance than one German page for everyone.

How do I find out whether ChatGPT knows my company?

Ask it yourself, with different phrasings – for example for your industry in your city. Check whether you are mentioned and whether the details are correct. That is also the first thing we look at in the audit.
